About Me

I was born in Canton, Ohio but raised on many Air Force bases throughout the country. My father served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. I have lived in Marana since 1989 and my son and daughter-in-law live here too. My grandson, Donovan, is currently in the US Air Force at Travis AFB in California.

I have 30 years of experience as a contract and negotiation manager, having worked for several Fortune 500 companies such as Raytheon, Kaman Aerospace, Honeywell and retired from IBM in 2017.

Following in my families footsteps, I am very dedicated to our Armed Forces. I am a board member for the Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Foundation and a member of the Marana Veterans Club. I am also a board member for the Southern Arizona Conservative Association (SACA) and a member of the Marana Chamber of Commerce. In 1995 I was appointed to the Town of Marana's Planning and Zoning Commission and in 1997 I ran as a candidate for Marana Town Council.

Setting the stage for future generations of Marana residents, I have worked on 6 strategic plans along with Town staff and the public's input to ensure Marana continues to make smart growth decisions by creating an environment for residential and commercial development to thrive while protecting our treasured Tortolita Preserve and other sensitive habitat and wildlife.

I worked with our Parks and Recreation department through the years to create Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, Gladden Farms Community Park, Tangerine Sky Park, Honea Heights Park and Saguaro Bloom District Park, that is currently under construction. Within the last year I assisted in developing an updated Parks & Recreation Master Plan that includes development of active recreational parks, natural resource parks, trails, and recreational programs securing open space for families to maximize quality family time while enjoying the beautiful landscape in Marana.

With the discovery of contaminants in 2 Marana ground-water systems, I became involved with the Marana Water Quality Task Force, organized by a group of concerned Marana citizens. Through the valuable partnership between the Town and the Taskforce, construction began on 2 water treatment campuses in August 2018 and completed in August 2021. No contaminants have been detected since.

Marana Water continues to support the Town's sustainable development. In September 2021, with Town Council approval, Marana Water begin preparing a Designated Assured Water Supply (DAWS) modification application in September 2021. To obtain a DAWS, Marana must demonstrate that sufficient supplies of adequate quality of water are physically, continuously and legally available to meet the estimated demands of the community for a 100 year period. The application was submitted in May 2022 to Arizona Department of Water Services (ADWS) for review.  Final approval is anticipated March 2024.

I am a steadfast supporter of the Marana Police Department. In the past 10 years MPD leadership has been exceptional. Our officers are committed to public safety awareness and education. They are constantly training to elevate their skills to continue 5 star service and protect our community. In the past five years violent and property crimes have both decreased in the Town of Marana.

Unparalleled Service. Unwavering Protection. Uncompromised Integrity.

Roxanne doesn’t duck!

I’ve known Roxanne for many years and observed how she’s tackled issues large and small, resolved residents’ problems and planned for Marana’s future. She’s predisposed to solving problems using her instinctive common sense and consistently produces results. In these uncertain times, Marana needs Roxanne now more than ever.

Jack and Terry Neubeck

For over 20 years Roxanne has represented the people of Marana with integrity, transparency, and good faith, both on the Planning Commission and Town Council.

When given a problem, or question, from anyone in the community, she always works to find the pertinent information, relay the information to the community, and work to find a solution.

Rox is a valuable member of the Council and we wholeheartedly endorse her.

Roxanne Ziegler has faithfully served the town of Marana for over 15 yrs, she is not only a conscientious and effective advocate for Marana business owners and residents, she is an intelligent , knowledgeable professional in all town matters. I have come to know Roxanne by my regular attendance at the Town Council meetings over the past five years. I have found Roxanne to place the best interests of Marana and its residents first and foremost. Roxanne’s deliberations are thoughtful, fair, and inclusive. Her institutional knowledge and vision have contributed to Marana’s many successes. The Town of Marana, its residents and its businesses will be well served by Roxanne’s reelection and the continuation ofher exemplary service.

Steve Selvy - President, Dove Mountain Conservative Association

In the time that I’ve known Roxanne Ziegler, I have gained immeasurable respect for her for everal reasons. First of all, it’s very apparent as to how much she cares about the town of Marana. She is passionate about making sure that Marana is moving towards becoming the type of community that families seek out as a place to live.

Roxanne also has a great knowledge of all things Marana. I’ve found that if there’s anything that I want to know about Marana, or if I need to make a connection with someone or some business in Marana, Roxanne is an invaluable resource. She will even make the extra effort to make sure to connect one with the person or business that they are requesting help with.

Roxanne is also very accessible. She has established a Facebook page where residents can ask her any question about Marana and she can be counted on to provide them with an answer or if she doesn’t know, she’ll find out and get back to them. I have also found Roxanne willing to take phone calls anytime of the day whenever there’s an issue or concern that I might have.

Lastly, I have found Roxanne to be a very people-oriented person. She has volunteered to assist an organization that I run – and the people in our organization genuinely like Roxanne because they find her approachable, amiable, and knowledgeable.

With this in mind, I am endorsing Roxanne Ziegler for Marana Town Council and support her candidacy 100%. Marana needs more Roxanne Zieglers.
